Community Profile

Council engages Profile.id to create community and economic demographic profiles of Adelaide Plains.

This data assists Council, the public, students, community groups, businesses and potential investors to become more informed about the dynamics of our community.

Data from Australian Bureau of Statistics and other sources is available.

This demographic data is presented in a variety of easy-to-use tables and charts. Information includes details of how many people live in the District, the characteristics of our population (e.g. birthplace, language), residents’ employment status (and what they do for a living) and lifestyle (e.g. dwelling type, household size, number of cars owned etc.).

Economic data includes size of the economy, value and employment in 87 industry sectors, worker profiles, and economic modelling and event impact calculator tools. Adelaide Plains economic data is a subset of the Regional Development Australia Barossa Gawler Light Adelaide Plains region. Remember to select ‘Adelaide Plains’ in drop downs.
