The Adelaide Plains Council recognises the importance of volunteers within its local community. They play a vital role in delivering services and enhancing Council programs.

They provide for community participation and social interaction. Volunteers have an opportunity to contribute towards positively building and supporting their community and to learn, develop and gain skills along the way.

Volunteering can be a great value in preparing people for the workplace, changing career pathways, making tranistion to retirement, creating links and connections with their own communities, contributing to better health and rehabilitation or supporting family life practices.
