⛔ Wasleys Road will be temporarily closed from the intersection at Redbanks Road to Elizabeth Street.
⛔ The road closure is in place from 4.30pm to 9pm on 26 April.
🚗 Please detour via Redbanks Road to Marshman Street or Joseph Street to Elizabeth Street.

Community Survey

We value our community, its needs, and priorities. To ensure we are providing appropriate services to meet our region's present and future needs, we periodically conduct community surveys.

Results can help us understand what services are working well, what we need to improve, and what we might need to consider for the future.

How did we do it?

300 households across our region were surveyed between June and July 2022, with a sample representative of our region's age and gender in the ABS 2016 Census statistics. People completed surveys on the phone, in face-to-face interviews, and online.

What happens to feedback?

Feedback from the survey helps us to track the delivery of our 2020-2024 Strategic Plan, and guide our service planning priorities.

Summary of results from our 2022 Community Survey:

41% of our residents have lived in the region for 20 years or more.


Most important social and environmental issues:
Flood prevention infrastructure (rivers and coastal), health services, employment/local jobs, township growth and rejuvenation.


Our community prefers to be informed by:
Email (38%), letter/letterbox drops (23%), Communicator newsletter (18%), and social media (15%).

Top areas of satisfaction:
Courtesy and politeness of customer service, way contact was handled, ovals and sporting facilities, car parking, libraries, playgrounds.


Our community’s priorities:
Roads, waste collection/recycling, stormwater drainage, development assessment.

Over 1 in 5 residents (23%) are satisfied with Council overall.
(In 2018 this was 20%)


47% of people who had contact with Council in the past 12 months were satisfied with our customer service.
(In 2018 this was 35%)

How likely are people to recommend living in Adelaide Plains Council region?
(In 2018 this was -43)

We undertook a community survey between April and May 2018 to hear resident and ratepayer's views on current and future services and facilities provided by Council. Results were presented to Council on 20 August 2018.
