Two Wells Recreation and Sport Precinct
A contemporary Two Wells Recreation and Sport Precinct Master Plan is a significant project to prepare for the growth of the Two Wells and Adelaide Plains population.
The Two Wells Recreation and Sport Precinct (in the area around the Two Wells Oval) presents a range of opportunities for growth in recreation, sport and community uses that will be investigated and engaged on in order to arrive at an agreed master plan.
A master plan enables Council and various clubs to discuss and plan for needed upgrades and undertake detailed design work which will assist for future planning of the precinct. It also enables Council to take an informed approach to the level of funding support needed for upgrades within Council’s Long Term Financial Plan and Annual Business Plan.

Vision
Delivering a detailed Two Wells Recreation and Sport Precinct Master Plan based on community needs and input.
The goals of the Master Plan include:
- Envisaging how the precinct can accommodate a wide variety of sport, recreation, community uses and associated commercial uses.
- Aligning with Two Wells long-term growth.
- Activating the precinct seven days a week, including evenings.
- Enable the existing sporting and community groups and growing number and diversity of stakeholders and community to influence the future vision for the precinct.
- Identify infrastructure constraints to accommodate a wide variety of sport, recreation, community use, and associated commercial uses.
- Identify an alteration and upgrade program of proposed works with preferred staging.
- Integrate with the Two Wells Main Street, envisaging future town centre development, and consider movement connections.

- Council is delivering a detailed Two Wells Recreation and Sport Precinct Master Plan to assist in future planning of the precinct.
- The Master Plan will identify required infrastructure in the precinct and provide a program of proposed works to achieve the vision.
- The precinct location includes the area of the existing sport and recreation facilities around the Two Wells Oval, the land behind the western side, and the creek triangle adjacent Two Wells Cemetery.
Project Timeline
2023
- A project brief to develop a master plan is endorsed by Council on 24 April 2023.
- Tredwell are engaged to deliver a master plan and engage with the community.
- Investigation and engagement commence in September 2023.

We need your help to inform a master plan for the Two Wells Recreation and Sport Precinct.
Consultation throughout the project will include community and stakeholder surveys, workshops, focus groups, and interviews with government agencies, state sporting associations and other key stakeholders.

Survey closes Wednesday 18 October 2023.
Community focus groups will be held on Wednesday 4 October 2023 at the Two Wells Football and Netball Club.

- Focus group for retired or older people: 2.30pm
- Focus group for younger people: 4pm
You don’t need to register to attend.
When a draft Two Wells Recreation and Sport Precinct Master Plan is available, Council and Tredwell will undertake formal consultation.
