Council Member Mandatory Training
Section 80A of the Local Government Act 1999 (the Local Government Act), and Regulation 8AA of the Local Government (General) Regulations 2013 (the General Regulations), sets out the legal requirements for training and development for Council Members. Council has adopted the following policy relating to Council Member Training:
Mandatory Training must be completed within an elected Council Member’s first twelve (12) months of office. Council’s Record of Training completed by Council Members for 2022–2026 is available here.
