Items we accept
We can accept many types of hard waste. Some items are free to dispose of and some items may incur a fee – either per item, or by the amount.
If your type of waste is not listed below and you are unsure, please contact us to check before arriving.
Items that are free to dispose of
Please keep these items separate from your other waste.
- Cardboard and paper
- Car batteries (domestic quantities)
- Engine oil (domestic quantities)
- E-waste (household items including TVs, computers and accessories, printers, DVD players)
- Scrap steel
Items we accept that incur a fee
We charge a fee for hard waste disposal based on the total amount of waste. Some items incur a fee separate to this, like mattresses or tyres.
You can pay by cash or card.
Green waste can be disposed of at our facility. Please make sure it is not mixed with other types of waste. Green waste only is charged at 50% of the general charge.
General household furniture can be disposed of.
Mattresses are charged separately to other waste items. We do not accept large quantities of mattresses at one time.
Latex mattresses are, unfortunately, not recyclable and are charged as general waste.
Contact Distribution 360 to dispose of large amounts of mattresses.
Tyres are charged separately to other waste items. Dirty tyres and tyres on rims incur extra charges.
Fees
There is a fee charged to dispose of some items as it costs us to manage the waste. These prices are updated each year in our Schedule of Fees & Charges.
