Draft Summary Asset Management Plan consultation
Consultation closes at 9am Monday 24 August 2026
We manage a wide range of community assets that support everyday life across our region. These include roads, footpaths, parks and reserves, buildings and stormwater infrastructure.
Our Summary Asset Management Plan is our framework for managing, renewing and developing our infrastructure and assets. It covers the maintenance of over 2,800 assets and over 900km of roads and road reserves, valued at just over $273 million.
The decision on how often a road is graded or resealed, whether a verge will be mowed, when a playground will be renewed, or which park will be watered is shaped by the service levels that are agreed on in our asset management plans. These asset management plans also include detailed information and forecasting which shapes our yearly business plans and budgets - which inform our rates and charges.
As our community continues to grow and change, it’s important that our assets are managed in a way that meets current and future needs while remaining financially sustainable. This plan includes forecasts and associated costs for our service levels, how we need to plan for growth, assets donated from developers, and future renewals and investments over the next 10 years. To help achieve this, we have developed a draft Summary Asset Management Plan for community feedback.
