Community Continues to Benefit from Grant Funding

The Two Wells Community Fund Committee recently considered grant applications, totalling $40,584. Council is pleased to announce that all applications were successful with six (6) different community projects benefiting as outlined below:

• Two Wells Community Centre – ‘On With the Show’ $2,878
• Two Wells Regional Action Team Inc – ‘Two Wells Twinkling’ $3,955
• Two Wells Craft Shop – Two Wells Community Garden $4,550
• Two Wells Regional Action Team – Shelter Seating (x2) $5,300
• Two Wells District Tennis Club Inc – Tennis Community Clubrooms – Stage 2 Access Improvements $8,901
• Two Wells Football and Netball Sporting Club Inc – ‘Light up the night – Oval Lighting Upgrade – Stage 1’ $15,000

All grants are subject to community groups obtaining the necessary approvals and consents and other nominated funding sources.

“The Two Wells Community Fund fills a gap which large grants and funding often denies. To be able to provide modest amounts to where it can best be used locally is the reason for such a Fund”, expressed Mayor Wasley.

We anticipate a combined cheque presentation (for both the fourth and fifth rounds) to occur in late February 2022 at the Two Wells Village Green.
