Two Wells Village Green - Award Winning!

Adelaide Plains Council is delighted that Jensen PLUS, together with Phillips/Pilkington Architects, were awarded First Prize in the category Public Space and Streetscape Design at the Mainstreet SA Annual Awards Ceremony for none other than our very own Two Wells Village Green Project!

Council’s Chief Executive Officer, James Miller and General Manager – Infrastructure and Environment, Tom Jones were fortunate to attend the Awards Ceremony on Friday 12 November 2021 as invited guests of Jensen PLUS.

The Public Space and Streetscape Design Award recognises street design and development work that enriches public spaces to create a cohesive and inviting mainstreet, laneway, town centre or precinct. Council’s Chief Executive Officer, James Miller, reflected on the Awards Ceremony “This is just reward for the wonderful showpiece we have now delivered for our community. To be recognised on the State stage and to win the best public space and streetscape design project from a long list of nominations makes me extremely proud. Recognition must go to Jensen PLUS, Phillips Pilkington, McArdle Projects, Management and Council Members for the collective team effort in delivering the now highly acclaimed Village Green.”

With development of the Two Wells Village Green now completed, and indeed with great success, Council will consider its next steps in relation to revitalisation of the Two Wells Public Realm in order to entice investment and business attraction, cater for growth and improve amenity and civic pride.

The future is bright for APC.
