Adelaide Plains Library Showcases Beloved Community Hub to Libraries Board of South Australia
Adelaide Plains Council Library hosted the Libraries Board of South Australia on Thursday 11 August 2022, showcasing the quality library services and facilities available in Two Wells.
Welcomed by Deputy Mayor Strudwicke, Adelaide Plains Council Chief Executive Officer James Miller, and Council staff, the members of Libraries Board of SA had the opportunity to speak directly with library patrons. Patrons emphasised how much the local library service is appreciated and enjoyed.
“It was a pleasure to showcase our library to the members of the Board, and discuss the future evolution of our library services as we meet the needs of our rapidly growing community” said Deputy Mayor Strudwicke.
Artwork was also on prominent display as part of the South Australian Living Artists Festival (SALA), many pieces created by locals of the Adelaide Plains region. The SALA exhibition is on display until 31 August 2022.
The Libraries Board of South Australia is a statutory authority, responsible for the administration of the State Library and Public Library Services. Each year Board Members embark on a regional tour to familiarise themselves with the library services they represent.
