Help shape the future of the Adelaide Plains Council region
Adelaide Plains Council welcomes feedback on its Draft Strategic Plan 2025–2028 from all members of the community, with submissions invited by 9am Thursday 19 September 2024.
“A thriving community with a great lifestyle, innovative economy and valued environment” is the Council’s vision for the Adelaide Plains in 2028.
The Draft Strategic Plan outlines a range of strategies and actions to achieve the vision under the themes of an enviable lifestyle, emerging economy, remarkable landscapes and proactive leadership.
Actions identified for the next 4 years focus on areas of importance to the community that were identified in consultation earlier in the year and the 2022 Community Survey. These areas include local jobs, health services, transport, waste, recreation and community facilities, and flood prevention and natural hazards.
Council encourages everyone—whether they are a resident, ratepayer, business or community group—to get involved and give feedback on what their priorities are for the next 4 years.
Community feedback is critical as the Strategic Plan will be used to plan services, inform advocacy and grant applications, and shape the next Infrastructure & Asset Management Plan and Long Term Financial Plan.
As we sit back in 2028, where would we as a community like to see our region? It will transform, unquestionably it will. How should Council and the community shape that transformation?
The Draft Strategic Plan 2025–2028 can be viewed on Council’s website, or at the Council offices in Mallala or Two Wells. Feedback can be submitted online or in writing:
