Native plant giveaway 2026

Published 5th June 2026
We’re giving native plant seedlings to 200 households across the region to support and preserve our native vegetation and biodiversity – and help residents establish low maintenance gardens.

Additional 100 spots added 5 June 2026 - Book now 🌱

Residents living within our region are eligible to receive a pack of 10 native plant seedlings for free (one per property). Seedlings are native to our region and grown locally, with a variety of trees, shrubs and groundcovers available.

Plants are limited and this giveaway booked out extremely quickly last year – set a reminder to avoid missing out!

Our friendly open spaces team will provide plant care advice on the day, and where possible, provide plants suitable for the property. For example, coastal residents can expect some different varieties to those living in the Mallala township.

The majority of this year’s plants have been grown by Two Wells Community Nursery.
